In my Nantucket landscapes I hope to communicate my joy and love for the color, light and forms of the Island. My paintings are not meant to replicate nature, but rather to express my passion for what surrounds me every day.

Susan Briskman has been an active artist member of the Artists Association of Nantucket since 2003. Since retiring from her career as a children's librarian in 2005, she has spent May through October in Nantucket painting and taking art classes.
